Southern Cross Artists

Part of the class at the tutorial by Michael Rogers. This took place over two Tuesday nights, one in February and the final in March.
The main painting was a modernistic, whimsical view of a green hillside in front of a blue valley. Trees were painted in pale blue in the distance and rich coloured trees on the hill itself in greens, reds and yellows. Artistic rules were broken just to create this unique style and have a bit of fun.

We finished off with a view of Middle Harbour done very quickly in the remaining 45 minutes.

This is the painting we worked from. However, on the night, we also added little figures (not shown here) walking over the hill to create a story line and add interest.
