President’s message.

Greeting members and associates.

The Cronulla RSL exhibition (7 to 9th April) has come and gone, being our first exhibition for this year. Again I thank the management and patrons of that organisation for their support at this lovely venue. Of the 70 or so paintings on display we managed to sell four and many members’ cards whilst raising about $666 for the raffle of the two John Hingerty paintings. Of course, these proceeds and some of our group’s funds will go to the Sutherland Hospital at an appropriate time. The raffle was drawn by a member of the security staff at the RSL and the first prize winner went to Gail Ayash and the second prize went to Sue Cull. Gail Ayash was very pleased with her prize stating, “I have never won anything, and I am so thrilled.” The painting now is presented pride of place at her home. I personally thank the volunteers who assisted during this duration and a special thanks go out to Maureen Lembke and Chris Robinson who always work tirelessly behind the scenes in organising these events.
